Vestibular Rehabilitation
Do you experience dizziness? Dizziness is commonly caused by cardiovascular issues, neurological dysfunctions, visual deficits, anxiety and depression. However, it can also be due to dysfunction of the vestibular system, including:
-
BPPV-Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo
-
Head Trauma (whiplash)
-
Vestibular system degeneration
-
Ear infections and inner ear infections
-
Ototoxicity-high dosage or long term use of certain antibiotics
-
Vascular insufficiency
Through vestibular rehabilitation, children and adults may find relief and reduce their dizziness. I use specialized exercises that result in the stabilization of your gaze and gait. Most vestibular rehabilitation therapy involves head movements that are essential in stimulating and retraining the vestibular system.
